Bio |
I have been working with bacterial pathogens and antimicrobial resistance for the past 20 years. I was selected and completed my WHO fellowship in Antimicrobial Resistance in 2012 from Sweden. Throughout my career, I have worked in large tertiary care hospitals with a high sample load and ample teaching and training opportunities.
I have worked with bacterial pathogens and antimicrobial resistance for the last 20 years. My publications are testimony to this. I have published research on VRE, MRSA, CRE colonization, and recently on Ceftriaxone-resistant Salmonella Typhi.
Internationally I assisted the WHO office of Maldives to develop their antimicrobial stewardship plan and also organized training for the implementation of the same. I also worked with the WHO country office of Nepal and conducted hands-on training on WHONET to assist the Public Health laboratory of Nepal in the implementation of the antimicrobial resistance surveillance program.
I am currently pursuing FAIMER fellowship in medical education. Teaching is a passion and comes naturally.
